The US Open Golf Tournament has a long history beginning with the first US Open’s Men’s Championship, which was held on a nine-hole course in Newport, Rhode Island on October 4, 1895. When you think about the fact that so many great golfers have yet to win a single tournament in their entire careers and yet here is Tiger with seven titles this year alone, you can easily why they are saying Woods has a chance to be universally recognized as the greatest golfer who ever lived before his career is over.
